Bio

 Talia Newman's work aspires to create experiences of  sensory immersion. Through a playful integration of fiber arts, painting, drawing, film, animation, and (bears, oh my!) installation she teases the viewer into the contemplation of time, using modern vocabulary to describe something of the prehistoric,  some connection to fundamental human experience.

Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, she received her BFA (2018) and her MFA (2026) at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
